Welcome and thanks for reading. You got this far, lets dig in…
I’m John Simpson, Counsellor in Victoria BC. My preferred areas of practice include; loss and grief, addictions, relationship issues, anxiety, and depression
When life hits you hard, I’m here to help. I bring compassion, empathy and humour to my work. Sooner or later you might find yourself bumping up against behaviours and patterns that no longer work for you. I call it “the winds of change”. That you notice them sets up an opportunity for growth.
I find that change doesn’t happen on its own, it needs something to trigger the willingness, good or bad. If you have the willingness to do the work, great things can happen. That’s what I’m here to help with.
Covid-19 is giving everyone’s mental health a kick right now no matter how strong you might feel. Isolation, loneliness and the unpredictability of daily life wears you down bit by bit. and creeps up on you. If you are feeling like you need help, The Province of BC has put together an online mental health self check
Helping someone else… move through a tough time in their lives, give up old habits and behaviors that no longer work, finding their inner strength… these are the things I care about.
I’m back to taking in person appointments on the condition of full vaccination status, preferably outdoors weather permitting. A mask is required for indoor face to face sessions at this time as per Ministry of Health direction. I’m still available for online sessions by appointment.
